One of the biggest challenges in the world of aquaria is what is called "reefkeeping". While the majority of our planet is covered with saltwater, there is a percentage of a percentage of special areas where amazing creatures exist. These are coral reefs. A slightly-crazy breed of aquarium enthusists are dedicated to creating what are called "reef tanks", maintaining very delicate ecosystems and propogating corals and other rare marine life. This site is dedicated to my appreciation of this combination of science and art.

Perry Mysterious Wrasse Pseudocheilinus Sp.! Ultra rare! He's a real character too - comes out from the
rocks whenever he sees me.
Another picture of this guy. He is a lot more colorful than I can currently capture with my crappy Sony
digital camera. I will be shooting some high-def slides soon.
Sun Polyps. I got them for $15 from a LFS after I convinced them that the specimen was about to die. And
it was looking bad. I didn't know if I could nurse this coral back to life but it is doing VERY well.
I even have the coral trained to come out during the daytime! There are at least 6 new polyps forming.
My candy cane coral is also doing very well. As you can see in this picture I have some of the polyps
reproducing (splitting) into separate polyps!
